ARE YOU WILLING TO GET UP 1 HOUR EARLIER EACH DAY?
Getting up an hour earlier would give you the equivalent of 2 additional weeks each year. WOW – 2 weeks added to your year by consistently taking action to do 1 simple but, not always easy action. · I can’t get up 1 hour earlier because I would only get 4 hours of sleep. · I can’t get up 1 hour earlier because I’m not a morning person. · I can’t get up 1 hour earlier because _________________
What COULD you do to get up one hour earlier?
· Watch less tv, go to bed earlier. · Less evening time on social media/computer/phone. · Stop hitting the snooze button. · Start slowly, 15 min. at a time. · Read a little before bed if you think you won’t be able to sleep earlier. · Enlist an accountability partner – notify someone daily that you are up at designated time.
Make a commitment to yourself for 30 days, see how much more productive you are.
I will go to be by 11 PM so I get 7.5 hours of sleep starting tonight – starting (date).
I will get up & stay up when my alarm goes off. Hint: put alarm clock away from bed so you must get up to turn it off.
Use an old-fashioned analog alarm clock, NOT your cell phone. Put the phone in other room for night time. You will be less likely to check emails/social media. You will not be distracted by late night texts.
Quiet mornings are power hours.
Making the decision to get up 1 hour earlier could give you what you claim you don’t currently have -time…time to meditate, exercise, write, read, do research, leave for work earlier and miss the traffic and be less stressed. You CAN make time for whatever is waiting on your GOAL and TO DO LIST!
